Hi,

I'm using this snip of code to embed a sound on a webpage:

<.embed src="beatloop.wav" volume="100" autostart="true" loop="true">

For some reason, the volume is always turned down when using IE5.5, even
though I am using the volume="100" param. Any ideas?

Also, is there a better or more "acceptable" way to do this nowadays, that
will work cross-browser?

This is for a site I am creating for a musician, so people are expecting to
hear his music when visiting the site. So I thank you in advance for not
advising me on the *dangers* : ) of adding sounds to websites.

Thanks!
