Hi Paul,

The alt text is there to be displayed when the image is not visible, as
implied by "alternate". IE etc. gives you an "extra" by showing the tooltip
even when you *can* see the image. But NS6 is actually not doing anything
wrong here according to the spec.

What you want is a title attribute, I think.
