Hello...

I have some knowledge of the Neopets thing. There are literally thousands of
users who like to make their own websites. Problem is, all of the images on
all of those sites have to be hosted somewhere. The ones who have some
smarts and some sense set up free accounts on Angelfire and such, but most
of them either don't have any knowledge of how to do that or don't care that
they're eating up someone else's precious bandwidth. So, they do a lot of
remote linking. There are people who actually encourage users to do just
that, for backgrounds and other graphics (and adoptable images do seem to be
a big thing), so when someone comes along who is stingy with their
bandwidth, people have a hard time understanding that.

What I would suggest is that your neice get set up with Angelfire or one of
the other free hosting services that allows remote linking (Geocities does
not).

HTH,
Dusty
