>>>I guess what I am saying is, is there a way to set up a page with a
nav area on the side without having to code it onto every page and thus
having to edit each and every page when changing or editing a link? Do
I need to use
CSS or is this something I would use XML for? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.<<<

* CGI is one way: PHP can do this, or even Perl using dynamically
generalted pages.

* Server Side Includes (SSI) can substitute a single file sitewide the
menu spot in each of your pages, if your server supports it.

* Dreamweaver (and probably other site management tools) can update your
files given changes to a single common ancestor called a template. This
is server independant, but does require you re-upload all the changed
files...

* Search-and-Replace functions can change entire directories with a
single click...same caution as the template idea...they all need to be
uploaded (assuming you develop on a local mirror).
