Capitalize JPG and the image will show.  You must be on a *nix server.

Hm... are the jpgs you are using for backgrounds in the same
directory?  You sure they are threre? The browser isn't finding it there.
Perhaps if your page pointed to the directory they are in?

http://www.novagaia.coolfreepage.com/resumefiles/echinaceabkg.jpg   leads
to a 404 page. If the file was there, i'd expect it would show.
