A few years ago, I decided to put my own growing collection of how-to tips
on the web to help others design their web pages. Lots of people helped me
figure out this stuff, so I thought I should return the favor by making what
I knew available to others.

The tips are arranged as a kind of demo of each feature. The link to these
tips is below. Please invited to take a look, copy the code, make comments,
suggestion improvements -- whatever.

Here are a few suggestions for using these tips...

(1) The source code behind most features can be accessed with a right click,
of course.

(2) But the code for a frameset requires View => Source. If you merely right
click one of the frame pages, you will only see the code for that framed
page.

(3) The style sheet for a page can be accessed by going to the head of the
framed page, finding the reference to the style sheet (.css), then pasting
that url into your browser's address bar. This will, in most cases, bring up
the style sheet in Notepad, unless you have set the application for .css
files to some other program, such as Text Pad or your favorite html editor.
If you don't know how to do that, email me for a step-by-step procedure.

(4) The javascript behind some features is in a separate .js file, not in
the head of the file itself. Use the procedure in (3) above to view the
javascript.

Best regards,

Is your home on the web an elegant, user-friendly place to visit?
Do the colors, images, layout & style please my eyes?
Can visitors interact and navigate intuitively?
Do the features mesh to create balance & harmony?
Does it focus on function & content or smoke & mirrors?
Does it show that I am serious about my home on the web?
Will it attract people who share my values and interests?
