I don't know what kind of database you have the information stored in, but
can you either store it as, or format after retrieval with a <br> after each
character so that it would display as:

L<br>
o<br>
n<br>
g<br>
<br>
H<br>
e<br>
a<br>
d<br>
e<br>
r<br>

?
