allegedly they turn it off, but when i tried it with ie5 it left a
placeholder for an image, so maybe some browser detection is needed.

anyway give it a try.

Subject: IE 6 Image Toolbar (rant)

| Anyone else seen this yet? If you have IE6 and you mouse over an image, a
| little toolbar pops up in the upper lefthand corner of the image with
icons
| for Save Image, Print Image, Email Image, and Open My Pictures Folder. I
| personally am not worried about people copying images from my site, but
the
| dang little toolbar pops up ON TOP OF the image and obscures relevant
image
| information. GRRRRRR!
|
| Of course, you can turn it off if you know enough to go into
Tools/Internet
| Options/Advanced and deselect the "Enable Image Toolbar" property under
| Multimedia. But no casual surfers will do that.
|
| You know, Microsoft had the good will of just about every web designer out
| there. We all loved the way IE4 and IE5.x displayed our web pages, forgave
| our mistakes, and offered cool little extras such as hover. Since loading
up
| IE6, however, I have been screaming for Microsoft Developer blood almost
| hourly. Why on Earth should I have to create two separate style sheets for
| IE5 and IE6? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? What happened to the option, during
| install, to retain an earlier version of IE, so I can test my pages in
both
| versions without needing separate boot partitions or two PCs? GRRRRR!
