Hello,

I am new to the list. I consider myself to be an intermediate web designer.
I have owned and operated a graphic and web design business for the last
five years (had a retail store for three which I closed last March - too
many headaches). I also work full-time as Marketing director for a lock and
security company. That's my mini intro. Now to the questions.

I have gone over much of the archives so I know this question has been asked
before but I want to add a detail to it. I need to add an on-line store to
one of the projects I am working on. I understand what is involved as far as
obtaining a merchant account (had one for my store but closed it for lack of
use over the last few months) and using a shopping cart system. I also know
that much of the headache is removed if I was to use Paypal.

I do not want to do so because we are in Canada and Paypal can only be used
with US funds. With the exchange rate the way it is right now, I do not want
to advertise the prices in US funds and I don't want to be a victim of the
exchange fluctuation when Paypal processes the funds. So to make a long
story short, does anyone out there know if there is a similar system
provided by a Canadian company?

My site is being hosted by a local ISP and if I want to use their secure
server, their fees are outrageous. I would rather use a service to process
the transactions.

Looking forward to your replies.

Andie (by the way, I'm a she!)
