Hi, Patty.
If the SSI ever bogs you down, you might want to try what I use, which is
something called Escapade.  You put the esp binary (or esp.exe if you're
using NT) into your cgi-bin.  The all you do -- and I do mean *ALL* -- is
build the bits and pieces that you want to merge together, give them file
names, then use

<INCLUDE "filename.yourextensionchoice">

anywhere you want those bits and pieces to go.

This is also a great alternative for those whose server either doesn't
support SSI or who simply don't want to tackle the configuration and syntax.
