If you don't have alot of artist or graphic arts experience one simple
thing you
could do it to explore some of the font packages that use small
graphics rather than letters.  You can usually download these for
free.  Then bring them into a word processing program that has a text
tool where you can play around with the images such as giving them a
drop shadow or an embossed appearance then save the image so you can
use it on your website, stationary, card, etc.  Fast, economical, and
you can achieve some fairly fantastic results.
