it would make sense to me that microsoft's jscript has some funky reserved
words, but i've never heard of that.  i would say don't worry about it; it
seems like your interviewer just ran into that question last month and is
showing off his/her newfound knowledge.

incidentally, i scrolled through the list of keywords, methods, and
statements in microsoft's jscript documentation and found no reference to
"logon".  it could be hidden, but my guess is that the only way you would be
able to know this would be if you'd had the same problem...

i would probably try creating a function called logon, test it in IE, and if
it works, e-mail your interviewer and say (s)he is wrong.  (okay, probably
not, but it's a funny idea).  :)
