Got it.  Not a solution, because I don't really want to dial
anyone...just check the files locally with the browser, but without
installing it...is that asking so much?

I am getting the impression that I will need to buy an old pre-IE5 Win95
box, and maybe use it to test with AOL and IE4 and perhaps some other
older browsers....and hope that AOL doesn't interfere with the
networking so much I have to do all kinds of juggling to keep it
connected.

Wasn't what I was hoping for...:)
