As Jay already mentioned that you might try http://www.arin.net.

You could also use TraceRoute to see which computers are between you and the
target to see where the target is from. People are usually connected to ISP
near them so you can find out where they are quite precisely.

In case your server has whois or finger enabled then somebody might find out
a lot about you (as the user).

There are some other ways to find out your location. Many people think that
they are totally anonymous on the Internet. Well, they're not.

You might want to download 'CyberKit' for more about these and other
services. I think that you can download it from www.hackers.com (not quite
sure about this one) or from some other computer security related homesite.
You might also want to check out the homepage of CyberKit
(http://www.ping.be/user/Luc.Neijens/).

BTW a list subscriber recently told me that every time she opens one of my
posts a prompt for downloading appares. I don't want to place this burden on
anybody, therefore I would like to get some private responses related to
this matter. Has it occured in your case too? Any idea what it might be? Can
