hi jennie

where i work, we use WebEditPro from www.ektron.com, which right now is
ActiveX only (i think they're working on a plugin for netscape)

but it's really cool, users that are familiar with Word will be right at
home

the ektron module translates RTF (microsoft rich text format) into html and
that gets saved on the database (requires ASP or Cold Fusion)

oh, i guess i shoulda said, this requires a database that users can save
their input into, and from which the web pages are generated

there are plenty of other solutions like ektron, it's just the one i'm
familiar with -- you can also get cgi scripts that do pretty much the same
thing, but this product is pretty reasonable priced

and of course the only ones that need ActiveX (internet explorer) are the
users that provide content, not your web visitors, who will see good old
pure html...
