Wrapping text in tables for NN4

Hello HWG,

 Ok, here's another #@$%! NN problem.  I wouldn't be surprised if this
  has been answered before, but searching the archives produced
  nothing.

  I have a table structure that looks something like this:
  
  <.table width="95%" border="0" cellspacing="5" cellpadding="5">
  <.tr>
      <.td  width="450" valign="top" align="left" colspan="2" class="tdcontent">misc
      content<./td>
  <./tr><./table>

  In NN4.x, the "misc content" fails to wrap to the size set with the
  width attribute, and produces horizontal scrollbars instead.  In IE
  4, it works fine (of course), also in NS6.
