Hi Karen,

I don't have training yet either with servers, but
another HWG member was kind of enough to tell me in
the past about this web site:

  http://www.extreme-dm.com/tracking/

It offers a free service to track just one page of a
site, you would probably want the index / home page.
Or for a fee, you can have all the pages tracked.

It can track unique visitors, reloads, gives you the
address of the last 20 persons to look at the site,
tells you the specs of the hardware used to view it
and shows how the referral to the site was made (link
from another site, search engine, email referral).

You have to place extreme tracking's logo of a globe
on the page which is being tracked for free, but it's
very tastefully designed. I have found it very
helpful until I gain the skills needed to do my own
analysis.

Regards,
Susan V.
