Tools for Mac users

Hi all

A friend of mine has started working doing Web work on
a Mac. She's got all the main tools (Photoshop,
Dreamweaver, Fireworks) and is doing well.

What I wondered, is do any of you Mac users have any
recommendations for other useful tools for Web work?
I'm a Windows user and have collected lots of useful
odds and ends over the years, but I don't know much
about Macs.
We found something called OTTools, which is great for
doing DNS lookups and Pings etc.

Specifically, are there any good plain old editors out
there, just to open a text file, edit it, and save it?
I know about SimpleEdit, but its a bit too simple
sometimes.
Are there any programs to browse through our graphics
directory and preview thumbnails of graphics?
Any other small, useful tools you can recommend?
