I have set up some test pages to try to figure this out.

I even copied some code EXACTLY from a site that works, except I
substituted my own pages of course. The code is similar to what people
have been advising me to use.
The pages I copied them from work perfectly in that this is what happens:
1 - the first page loads with a third page on top
2 - close the third one, nothing should happen
3 - close the first one (WITH THE CLOSE BOX) and a second page appears
I can get everything to happen except step 3 and can't figure out what I
am doing wrong.
The set up works in all browsers so there must be something I am missing
in the code.
It didn't seem to make any difference from the HD or a server.
Can someone check it and tell me what I have done wrong?
The pages are test.html,test2.html,test3.html,test4.html and are colored
differently so you know which is which.
