What have I done!

Main aghast: http://baltimorecitycollege.org/~edunbar/atstimeline.htm -
looks the way I want it in Explorer 4+, has about a 3-screen horizontal
scroll in Netscape 4+ . What did I do wrong???

Continuing irritation: http://baltimorecitycollege.org/index.html - load
time, before even the alt texts show up; I suspect I messed up customizing
the dropdown menu javascript but don't know what's wrong with it or how to
fix it.

Help???
