Hello HWG,

A chat room user at the site of my client has reported a puzzling
problem. I'm not even going to try and paraphrase him. Here is his
report verbatim:

*I originally tried Netscape Communicator 4.7 and was experiencing the
difficulty of not being able to see the ending of any sentence that
"spilled over", so I was typing blind.*

--I think he means that the text would not scroll along with the
cursor--

*When I switched to AOL (version 5), the first difficulty cleared up
but then whenever I attempted to post a message there was a lag of one
full message i.e. I typed my name and hit "enter" nothing happened. So
I waited some time and then typed my name again and hit "enter". What
came up was "Sean enters the conversation". So then I typed my first
comment and hit "enter." What came up was "Sean says 'Sean.' " I am
puzzled by this, wait for a few moments and type my second comment and
hit "enter." What comes up on the board then is my first comment:
"Sean says 'blah, blah...' ". For the rest of the chat, each time I
type a comment and hit "enter" what comes up on the board is the
previous comment. So I am constantly one comment behind the one I have
just entered.*

--I have no idea what's going on here. I've tried to duplicate the
problems (either of them) with NN 4.08, NS 6, IE 5.5 and AOL 5 with no
luck. Has anyone seen anything like this, or have any idea how to
track it down?

Thanks for your time and help in advance,
