Durwood,

hmmmm this is not something that I have encountered so I took the question
to the gurus on the PI Board.

So far, I have only had one reply that might help. The suggestion is that
perhaps the versions of Corel and Pagemaker that you are using are older
versions that can't read Progressive .jpgs. Maybe if they were saved as
Standard or Standard Optimized, that might make a difference.

Don't know if this is of any help, but thought I would throw it into the pot.
