CSS

Hi, all;
First time around (of course) with CSS. I have this strange little quirk in 
the display of my code. One element, the word *service*, with it's 
attendant gif (a line) do not abide by the rules of placement: they appear 
at the top left-hand corner in both IE5.x and NN4.x. I have tried numerous 
attempts to correct this malady. Your help would be appreciated. TIA.
