Opening a New Window

Hi;
I have a script where
1) users click a button
2) a new, smaller window opens
3) they enter certain criteria to select horses from a database
4) a list of hyperlinked horses is produced
Now, I want to enable my users to click a horse name and have another new 
window open *that is full-sized*. I had this working with Javascript, but 
since I built my own server and moved it over here, some bizarre conflict 
has occurred between my Javascript and my PHP. Does HTML offer any solution?
