Printing a printer friendly version of a web site page in one step ...

Greetings list:

We have an application where we would like to offer site visitors the 
ability to print a printer friendly version of a particular web page's text 
in one step.

I have seen mechanisms used on sites where by visitors can view a printer 
friendly version of a page, and then by selecting print can print it - but 
this is not what we require. I'm looking for a Java script that would allow 
a user to select by way of a small icon/graphic file, the ability of 
printing a printer friendly version of the page they are currently on (by 
means of perhaps linking to a specific text file)  and having the script 
"automatically" send this text file or equivalent to the printer for 
printing when selected.

Any ideas ... ?
