Form - Text Field Sizing for NN

Sometime ago someone sent me a fix for N 4.7x that allowed me to control 
the width of a text field. It was put into a style sheet.   Thought it was 
this:

input.size { width:20;}

But no.  I'm missing something. Anyone?
