Hi,

This question is sort of off-topic since it's hardware-related,
but perhaps someone can help. Since it's a rather obscure
question, perhaps reply off the list. Thx.

I have acquired a nice 17" Apple Multi-sync monitor that I would
like to use with a WinTel machine. It has an adapter on the
cable that converts it to physically fit the VGA connector on the
PC, and in fact it works OK -- except that the brightness on the
monitor is way too high. I fiddled with all the controls on the
monitor trying to find a brightness/contrast setting, but could
not find it. I'm guessing that this is controlled in s/w by Macs.
(If you know, please enlighten me!)

I don't suppose there's a Windows driver for an Apple monitor
that would provide the same functionality as the Mac s/w.

Anybody have any suggestions on using an Apple monitor with
a Windows PC?

TIA,

Dave
