This is the first time I've been asked to put video clips on a web site and
I have no experience at all in doing this and I was wondering if anybody
out there could give me some pointers on how to solve the following problem:

I have some high quality mpegs of a musicians performance that I would like
to put on his web site. One of the mpegs weighs in at 45 megabytes and is
around 4 minutes in length - naturally that is too humongous to put on a
web site. I've edited it down to a 35 second clip but it still weighs in
at 6 megabytes and of course that is still unacceptable. I'm assuming that
there is software out there that will compress this 35 second clip down to
an acceptable size for a web site - say 200 or 300 K? Or am I wishing too much?

Basically, I just want to convert a portion of this man's videos on his web
site that will not be too big to turn the visitor away.

Thanks In Advance for anyone who can help me with this.
If you're interested, the web site is blues musician Bill Sims Jr. at
