Actually, my solution is going to leave quite a bit of white at the top no 
matter what.  I'm sure there's an even better solution, I'll be interested 
to see it.  Personally, I always do the single px wide, 800px tall image 
for my background, but I'm sure there's a "proper" way to do it using CSS.
