There is only one problem with zipping a file.  Only windows users can open
it, normally.  The rest of the time the file will be self extracting as an
*.exe.  You can imagine the angry hate mail and calls the corporation will
get.

You forgot Linux and Unix and Macintosh do not execute .exes from windows.
Also only power users on a Mac will have the versions of Stuffit that will
unzip.   Just like a lot of Windows users don't have a Zip utility.  Unless
they are beyond Internet appliance mentality for their PC.

Leave the PDF internally protected.  Then NO one has to hassle with
unstuffing.  Just password protect the source file and put it in a non
protected read only directory for everyone but the Admin.
