I use Windows 2000 Pro and never go anywhere near IIS, Apache2 works
great, is free, isn't from Microsoft, and has huge backing from numerous
on-line communities. Three cheers for Apache.

It's got ASP as well if you don't mind using Perl.

Gary,

Win2K Pro does include a scaled down version of  IIS.  I installed it
when I
upgraded from WinNT 4.0 SP6a to Win2K.  Granted, you can't set yourself
up as a
hosting service with it, but it's fine for development work.
