Hi Cris,

Regarding your original question...duh... ;)

Well, thing is this is a though subject. Most of us like to think this
from a developers point of view while others like to think it from an artist
impression.

Despite my quarrel with David Meadows, I have to agree with his last post (I
hope you didn't deleted it;) ). Fact is that, most important of all, you'll
have to concentrate your efforts on publishing abilities (most of them,
unfortunately, innate), hypertext theory, design implementation and all that
stuff that deals with creation and presentation of art. Long(?) gone are the
times when content was the issue. Now presentation it's also important.
Especially because you are selling your product. Sorry if I can't help you
more on this, but definitely this is not my area and most probably the terms
I used up there are prone to discussion of their adequacy on this context.

At the same time be aware that without a good knowledge of the internals of
this technology, you will not be able to go far. HTML it's a *must* and CSS
and JavaScript come right behind. CGI it's right on the next turn and ASP
will also help you so that you can be able to cover a wide range of
potential clients.

This said, your only concern will be to be constantly on the lookout for new
technologies and studying them as soon as they come out as a draft.

Ok. It's 3:50am here, I'm very sleepy and my wife is already complaining.
Bye then,

Mario Figueiredo

PS: Before I go:
Take this all thing lightly. Don't rush!
Consider HTML, CSS and JavaScript as your priorities, put CGI on your ToDo
list and all the rest just stuff it somewhere on "As soon as I have Time".
You'll take long to grow older and your sanity will stay in place.

As for you David,
I've got my hands on DreamWeaver 2. It rocks!
Despite the fact that I'm an HomeSite lover (contrary to popular belief,
HomeSite is a girl) I have to give my hand to you here. With every new
version of the WYSIWYGs editors your words make more sense (your last post,
let us be clear). With all that hype about FrontPage 2000, most probably we
will talk again next year. ;)

Yes, honey, i'm goooooiiing...
(Christ!)
