Short pages:
As a netizen:
- Allows me to get *only* what I want, and makes one 'feel' like he's in
control
- Loads less. 33.6k modems and less especially.
As a webmaster:
- Tend to be easier to maintain

Long pages:
- Tend to print more easily
- Load less often
