I'm Italian, and maybe I can explain what is going on ...
This whole story started on the graphics list where some
guy named Marco posted a mail in which he said that
only Italians are creative and that americans are
nothing (I'm quoting, this is not my point of view).
Naturally this caused a great deal of posting on
the list. After a couple of days he posted
another mail saying that his first mail was written
just after his father had died and that he was very sorry.
I guess he received an enourmous amount of spam.
Now, I see that the whole thing is moving to the theory
list.

Are you a terrone (nasty word indicating
someone from the south of italy)

Now, I'm sure there are many Italians like
myself that have learned much from these lists and
I'm really very sorry all this is going on.
