Sorry about the multiples, my email crashed and appeared
to have lost the message.

Thanks for all of the responses.

So far the main points have been:

Indexing - Lack of actual text makes it impossible to
search. perhaps Macromedia will take care of this somehow
in a later version (Aftershock will put a header with all
the text in the movie at the top.

Plugins and availability - Not everyone has Flash already
installed (though NN5 will have it native, hopefully IE5
too). In my personal mind i dont care, everyone should
download it cause it is so cool :-) That state of mind is
influencing the practical side of my mind, but there needs
to be some alternative for non flash viewers (like Unix
machines. that is a real sticking point, but oh well).

Bandwidth - This is the weakest point in my mind, because
for even moderately complex design it is comparable to
other means, and because it is streaming. if you think
ahead in your movie the viewer typically has very little
wait (not always possible, but the goal to strive for.)

Seems like there was something else, but you will remind
me of it :-)
