Again some good points Ann. I agree with you that I can not take the
time to work with the client who does not want a quality web site and
I generally do steer those who are fixated on a package site to some
of the better designers who work in that way.  I want to be in the 
web design business for the long run. I don't think anyone who is not
doing accesible sites that incorporate the new developments while
degrading for the old will be in business long. The next generation
of browsers shows a little more promise for support of things like 
CSS.  I want my portfolio to reflect my commitment to keeping up with
the developments of the web. And I can not do template sites on a 
mass production basis for $XX each and hope to survive. As the general
public becomes better educated to the web they will also become more
aware of what it takes to design and administer a good site.
