Hi Bob,
Well, first off all. I really think you should invest some time in
learning CSS!! When I first heard about it I thought:"Great ANOTHER
language for me to learn!" Fortunatly I picked it up pretty fast.
Now, I don't use CSS in all my pages or sites. I currently have two
sites. One is in HTML 3.2 while the other is in HTML 4.0 and CSS. I
don't have a particular preferance to either way, but you should take
note that CSS is used with HTML 4.0 and that special rules apply to the
implementation of styles into a document.
And as someone else pointed out earlier. If you view a CSS page through
a non-CSS browser, you'll still keep the basic formatting, the only
difference is the page won't have the same ZING!!!!
Either way, I think CSS is really great and everyone should learn it.
BTW if you are looking for more info on CSS you can send me a private
E-mail and I can send you a few HTML files that deal with compatibility
and the CSS mechanism itself.
For more info visit:
http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS
http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS1
Hope it helps!
Regards,
Dave
