My company uses Citrix to provide access to applications for our CSRs
(customer service representatives). This has been a very cost-effective
solution. And it's sometimes faster than a regular workstation tied into the
LAN.
Of course, the CSRs are limited in terms of software, access to the
internet, etc; we just set up what they need to do their job. So they can't
go out and install IE to surf the web instead of working.
It's been a good solution in this case.
