With this being accessibility month around here, I thought this was
particularly ironic... So, my problem. I use the redirect service at
http://come.to/. My specific url is http://come.to/torch/ I really liked
this service because the URL is easy to remember, easy to type, and it
solves the problems of some really old browsers not being able to handle
the address I'd been giving out. (Something about I was using
http://cpowell1.home.mindspring.com instead of
http://www.mindspring.com/~cpowell1/ and the old browsers couldn't find it.
 ANYWAY...)

So, today I received a complaint that someone couldn't access my site. I
went to the site, and noticed that, as I surfed around, the URL didn't
change. Thinking something was fishy, I viewed source. Sure enough,
come.to has started redirecting the URLs through a FRAME! They say they
WILL have an option for you to turn this off, but it's NOT YET IMPLEMENTED!
And it's not even that they're using the frame for ads or any other
reason. It's just so your real URL never shows up in the address field. A
"cool new" feature, I guess.

So, I've sent them a note asking them to kindly turn this off for me.
Sigh. BTW, I notice that a lot of people on the lists use this service.
Check your site - it's not just mine.

Who DID have a pretty accessible site...
