Hi Paul,
We've been using XML here for the last few months in our website back-end
'stuff' on an experimental basis and we've decided that we're definitely
going to move more of our development in this direction - what we do here is
to turn a load of data into XML (i.e a website order) and then use
stylesheets to transform that data into something else such as a webpage or
an email message. I'm fairly new at this sort of thing myself but I think
the key issue is that once you've changed your data into an XML format you
can pretty much translate it into whatever you like with a stylesheet
without changing the format of the original data again - it seems to be the
perfect tool to use when you want a little versatility from your data.
