Hallo Lisa,
Yes, browsers show the <abbr> and <acronym> titles, at least IE 5.5
shows a tooltip when acronyms are coded with the title attribute When =
you put the mouse on the acronym, you see the titletext in a tooltip..
Mozilla underlines the abbr and accronyms..
In http://www.hoehnermusikfan.net/musikband/musikabn/ you can see it =
work. There are many words <abbr title=3D"compact disc">CD</abbr> and =
<acronym title=3D"Music Instrument Digital Interface">MIDI</acronym> =
coded as MIDI is also a region in France or is french for 12 o'clock AM
I will code etc. and bio also as <abbr>/abbr> as bio is not an existing =
word, only in combinations with other words..then it is no abbreviation =
at all but an usual word...
cheers
