Fairness of free scriptsby "Ben Bradley UK" <bradley(at)mudmail.co.uk> |

I think it is extremely unfair the way some companies do not bother to make sure their scripts validate before getting users to add them to their pages. For example, on attempting to validate my site, there were only four errors, and yes, they were all in scripts provided by companies! Has anyone else had any problems with this, and any success in getting companies to re-write their scripts? I have often found that the problems are within the paging systems said companies use. eg: this one came from CNET News.com Affiliate Button ---------------------------------------- Line 433, column 76: ... ast.com/bfast/click?bfmid=1476905&siteid=10138169&bfpage=news_5" TARGE ... ^ Error: general entity "bfpage" not defined and no default entity --------------------------------------- This annoys me!!!! Any advice apart from getting rid of the offending items?
