I like DataReturn. Their service has been impecable. I mean then send
you an email notifying you ANY time they perform ANY maintenance to
their servers/network. They also tell what time of day this will be
done, how much downtime you will incur. Downside is it is kinda spendy.

I also use HostPro, but their service isnt that great. Upside is they
are kinda cheap.

Hi all:

to
host any more than five sites with any one hosting company (long
dreadful
story as to the reason) so I'm always looking for good hosting
services. I'd like to see comments from everyone, but for my own needs
I'm
interested in hosting services offered to web developers in the USA.

I have been very pleased with WestHost located in Vancouver WA, USA and
have several clients and several of my own web pages located on this
site. I chose them because I live in WA and in case I had to call I
didn't want a large phone bill. They have 24x7hr tech service via email.
However, I should start using another service as you said above re
having all your eggs in one basket.

HOWEVER, I have had nothing but trouble with a freebie site one of my
clients wanted to use, called FaithSite.com--a christian site no less.
Their software is not only a big pain to deal with which means I'll have
to recode every page if we ever move it in the future. And worst of all,
the "purchased" domain name they sold my client went into their name and
not hers, and this is still not resolved after 6 months or more. It has
really sworn me off of freebie sites.

take care,
Lori
