resolution puzzle

Hi

I am a bit confused about my resolution.  I work on 2 computers both at 800
resolution.  One is a 14" screen and one a 15" screen.  I finished my
website and was checking it in different browsers on the 2 computers  and
was surprised to see that the 2 were different.  On the 14" the page is
squashed.

I thought that the space available belonged to the resolution not the screen
size.

I also designed it in IE4 and find that it is more squashed in netscape than
IE - is this normal
