Top-left margin

I'd like to put a graphic in the top left cornor of a page.  
 
I tried  <.BODY LEFTMARGIN="0" MARGINWIDTH="0" 
TOPMARGIN="0" MARGINHEIGHT="0">    which works
fine, but unfortunately, it will not validate using the W3c 
validator.   Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong??
