Marquee doesn't work in Netscape because it is a Microsoft invention which
was not adopted by Netscape and is not part of the HTML Standard.   Just
like (in reverse) Microsoft never adopted the BLINK tag that Netscape
invented.

Personally, I find scrolling text quite annoying.  Having said that, you
will have to resort to a java applet, Flash or Dynamic HTML if you want it
to work in Netscape.
