BannerForge site testingby "Gary Bonham" <Gary(at)BonhamDesigns.com> |

We've been working for awhile on a web-based application called BannerForge, and it is now at a level where I feel somewhat comfortable asking for comments from this list. This has been a real learning experience. This site is aimed primarily at on-line creation of banners, buttons, etc., but can be used for a much wider range of graphics as well. It can create both static and animated GIFs, as well as 8-bit and 24-bit PNGs, 24-bit BMPs, and JPGs. Our aim is to provide a complete capability - not just the "fill in the blanks" sort of bannermaker site that is found over and over on the web. Access is free so anyone can go onto the site and use it. Creation of 24-bit PNG, BMP, and JPG files is limited to "premium" accounts, which are also free (at the moment), but require emailing me to set it up, as the current registration page is for a "normal" account. I'm looking for comments, suggestions, etc. - anything, good or bad. The project is far from over. With most functionality complete at this point, we are now looking into improving the look and feel of the site. To get there, go to http://www.DigitalMediaWorks.com and click on the BannerForge banner. Ultimately it will have it's own URL. Thanks, Gary Bonham PS - I sent this to the hwg techniques list earlier today and have yet to see it come through. Come to think of it, I haven't had anything on that list for awhile now. Perhaps somehow I've been taken off that list??? Anyway, if you get two of these, please accept my apologies.
