Javascript close window

Hi,

I have a site with this script on some of the pages:

<P ALIGN=CENTER>
<A HREF="javascript:window.close()"><font size=1>CLOSE THIS
WINDOW</font></A>
</P>

When I click on the link, I get a pop-up window that says:

"The webpage you are viewing is trying to close the window.
Do you want to close this window?"

How can I make this stop popping up???
