For questions like this, I always recommend that one go straight
to the source.

Go to Microsoft and sign in to any of a number of news forums of
the Office 2000 products. Just lurking there for a few days
should give you the pros and cons of just about anything.

Remember, the people who are using the products will often be the
most critical. After all, they spent all that money in hopes of
perfection.
