special effect

Good Morning all,

I am doing a site for a window washing biz and would like to have the splash
page come up as black or a transparent motteled dirty window look with the
home page showing through underneath then a wipe off,  like the "window"
being cleaned to reveal the home page.  Is this possible? We want to be as
broad based on browsers as possible. If so, any input on how to do it or
where to go for script would be greatly appreciated. I have Dreamweaver2,
Fireworks, Photo Shop, Micrographix, and access to Flash.
